How to use your makeup!

This Halloween, no costume is complete without the right makeup. In this two part series, we’ll show you what makeup can be used for what costume, and how to apply it.

            If you plan on being a vampire, a wolf, a zombie, or anything that might require some blood, you have to have our Blood Gel.Blood Gel is a deep red syrup-based blood that never dries, giving the look of oozing, wet, thick blood. Washes off easily with soap and water. Apply with a paint brush, Q-tip, or your finger.

            No clown costume is complete without a full out face of makeup. Generally speaking, this goes for your costume, but it should also apply to your makeup and Halloween accessories! Accessories and makeup are one of the simplest ways to take a costume from regular old drab to sparkling fab. HAPPY HALLOWEEN! HOW TO STAY SAFE

One of the most important things about Halloween is that you remain safe! Here are some tips to make sure you have the best Halloween ever!

1) make sure you travel in groups. that's right, we're advocating that you trick or treat with a giant group of friends (even if mom says its too many people to cook dinner for :) ) it's always safer to be surrounded by a big group. this way, in case you get confused or lost, you have many helping hands around!

2) stay in a neighborhood you know. don't go trick or treating in another neighborhood just because you think they'll have better candy than yours. stay where you know, or at least visit a neighborhood of a friend, so that they'll know their way around. the last thing you want is to get lost and miss out on valuable candy gathering time!

3) if you get a weird feeling about the candy someone's handing out, don't take it. you always get lots of candy on Halloween, so it's ok to be picky :)

4) carry a flashlight! it's dark at night! make sure you can see where you're going.

5)Walk, don't run.

6) Stay on Sidewalks

7) Don't cut across yards or driveways.

8) Wear a watch you can read in the dark.

9) (If no sidewalk) walk on the left side of the road facing traffic

10) Approach only houses that are lit.

Cinderella, Cinderella

   Deep down, every girl’s dream is to be a Disney princess, whether she admits it or not. Girls grow up to be women, but the desire to be a princess never ceases. Here at Halloween Adventures, we believe every woman is a princess, no matter what her age, so we present you with the Disney princess costumes: for adults!

   Everyone knows that Halloween is generally a time for men to dress scary and women to dress sexy, but maybe it’s time for a departure from this method. Want to go the opposite route? Well, how about going historical! No, we don’t mean sexy hippie, we mean the Washingtons, George and Martha (among others, of course).

Getting Ready for Halloween!

You only have a few precious hours each Halloween to get in every ounce of trick-or-treating fun before the end of the evening. Do you just go out, haphazardly knocking on doors, hoping someone will be home and willing to treat your kids or do you develop a game plan with A, B, and C backups?

If the latter is your philosophy, kudos to you! You’re a real go-getter and we admire you for it. But if your idea of a great Halloween is walking around for hours and having nothing to show for it save for a pitiful pail of cheap Halloween treats, shame on you! Your kids love Halloween and it’s up to you to make it the best it can be for them. They want candy and lots of it and it’s your responsibility to ensure that your children’sHalloween is as magical and candy lucrative as possible. But don’t worry—we have a game plan established that will help you gain favor with your favorite little ghosts and goblins this year.

The perfect trick-or-treating plan consists of organization and effective time management. You only have three hours to help your kids collect as many sugary, rich, and delectable name-brand goodies as possible, so let’s get going! Follow our handy guideline to establish the perfect trick-or-treating plan:



1. Gather two shopping bags per child to leave in your car. One shopping bag will hold the candy that your kids collect from people they know; the other will be for parental candy inspection.

2. Begin the evening no later than 5 o’clock. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, and neighbors won’t mind if you’re little one shows up early for treats. Make each visit short and cut the chitchat! Time is of the essence! You can discuss work, life, and love tomorrow!

3. Hit every trunk-or-treat spot in town. Park your car and prepare to walk fast. Stop briefly at each car, gather the loot, and move on until your kids have collected every ounce of candy possible. Then, head out to the next trunk-or-treat festival. (If the festivals are placed within a few miles of each other, your kids can load up on sugary goodness at three or more trunk-or-treating events within an hour.)

4. Empty your child’s trick-or-treating pail into the appropriate shopping bag each time you get in the car. (Most people will be stingy with the goods when the pail is full, so empty it as often as possible.)

5. After your kids have drained the trunk-or-treating parking lots dry, it’s time to move on to the ritzier areas of town. The more affluent areas of your city are goldmines for yummy, name-brand treats. Choose well-lit streets, stay on the sidewalk, and walk fast.


Trick-or-treating isn’t just about the candy—for most kids, it’s the excitement and exhilaration of the hunt that makes Halloweenfun. So, go out there, give them your best, and prepare to wow them with your perfect trick-or-treating plan!

Do you dare to decorate?

 Halloween is less than two days away, and you've barely begun to decorate! Here are some quick and easy ideas for a spooky good time. 

            Hang our Skeleton Spider from the kitchen fan. Next time someone turns the fan on, they’ll get a little skeleton surprise! This toy is also great for the front porch as a way to attach trick or treaters.

            Everyone knows that the hat makes the man, especially when it comes to a Halloween costume. Don’t mess around this season, and make sure you top of your fabulous costume with the best cap there is!

            Remember when Trucker Hats were so in? Thankfully, they’re out, so now we can make fun of those who loved them. Do just that in our Living the Life Trucker Hat.             This Halloween, no costume is complete without the right makeup. In this two part series, we’ll show you what makeup can be used for what costume, and how to apply it.

            If you plan on being a vampire, a wolf, a zombie, or anything that might require some blood, you have to have our Blood Gel. Blood Gel is a deep red syrup-based blood that never dries, giving the look of oozing, wet, thick blood. Washes off easily with soap and water. Apply with a paint brush, Q-tip, or your finger.

            No clown costume is complete without a full out face of makeup. Sure, that red nose is important, but the white face and special designs are the most important part! Our Bozo Makeup Kit is the easiest way to get all the makeup you’d need for a clown costume in one place.  Make-Up kit includes large tube of white cream make-up, six mulitcolor crayons (white, red, black, blue, green and yellow) and one applicator sponge.
