Green Lantern Costumes Have Arrived!

This Halloween, we're predicting that superheroes will be a big theme, and we're hoping that Green Lantern, a comic book adaptation that hit the big screen earlier this year, will result in some seriously cool costumes. Sure, there's always Superman and Spiderman, but Green Lantern offers something different. As the story goes, a cocky test pilot, Hal Jordan (played in the movie version by Ryan Reynolds) acquires superhuman powers when he is chosen by "the Ring", the willpower-fed source of power, of the Green Lantern Intergalactic Corps. He, reluctantly at first, takes on the challenges these superheroes face. Putting his self-doubts aside, and spurred on by his sense of duty and love for his beautiful, intellectually equal, colleague, Carol Ferris, played by Gossip Girl's Blake Lively he is soon called to defend mankind from Parallax, a super-powerful being who feeds on fear. He is the universe's last chance, as many Lanterns have been killed and the Corps is weakened. And he might just be the right Lantern for the job of keeping the world safe from harm.

Did YOU see Green Lantern in theaters? If so, you're going to love our wide selection of Green Lantern costumes. Whether you're looking for a cute Muscle Chest for your little boy, or a sexy women's costume guaranteed to turn heads, we've got what you need. See all Green Lantern costumes here.

Boo! Haunted Houses!

Halloween is just around the corner, and here at Halloween Adventure headquarters, we're kicking things into full gear! Our pop up shops are up and running, and the online orders are flowing in. We're picking up steam left and right, and looking for costume inspiration everywhere we go. But we're also looking for fun events to take part in: Halloween parties, haunted hayrides, haunted houses and more. Which is why we're excited to bring you all the details about one of the scariest events in the country: The Bates Motel. That's right, the famous Bates Motel, from scary movie Psycho. If you ask us, Psycho remains the scariest movie out there, bar none. We love a little fright fest, and so we make a point of watching our favorite horror film each year, but sometimes it's fun to take things a step further. Which is why we're all ears when it comes to the Bates Motel.

Here's what you can look forward to: "The Bates Motel: the most incredible display of terror and mayhem this side of Hollywood. Filled with high-tech special effects, digital sound track, and computerized lighting, the Bates Motel takes Halloween to the next level of horror… up close and personal! The Bates Motel is a no holds barred, high action, haunted house not intended for children under 8 or people with heart conditions. With incredible detail, and stellar acting, the Bates Motel is one of the best haunted houses in America."

Scared yet? Check out some of our favorite horror costumes here. We're talking Howling Horror's ghostly ghoul outfit, and a seriously freaky Horror Hooded mask (be afraid...be very, very afraid!). We've even got the best Friday the 13th costume around.

Our Best Batman Costumes

We've been feasting our eyes on shots from the set of the latest Batman movie, which is set to feature Anne Hathaway as the new Catwoman. Since Halloween is just around the corner, you can bet that things are a bit crazy around here - and we're wondering, what will YOU be for Halloween? Are you looking for Batman costumes? We're thinking that Batman might experience an surge in popularity thanks to the upcoming film, which will hit theaters early next year. The film, The Dark Knight Rises, is being kept under tight wraps - no one really knows what director Christopher Nolan has up his sleeve, but one thing is for sure: Batman will continue to reign supreme when it comes to superheroes. So, ready to get batty? Check out some of our favorite Batman costumes below.

Our Batman Muscle Chest costume for toddlers will give him the extra oomph he's looking for. Make sure you charge your phone, because you're definitely going to want to snap some photos of this adorable chap! Got an itty bitty infant? Don't worry, we didn't forget about the babies! Shop in Store in New York and Pennsylvania

Did you know that in addition to our online merchandise, we also have multiple retail megastores on the East Coast? That's right! We've got two incredible stores in New York City, one in Philadelphia, and one in Pittsburgh. Not near one of those? No worries - our online store stocks a ton of merchandise. But for those that do live near one of the brick and mortar stores, might we suggest you take a stroll to your nearest store? There, you can check things out in person. Can't decide between an Alice in Wonderland costume or a Vampiress outfit? Maybe seeing them in person will make your decision easier. Astounded by the amount of wigs out there? See them in person. Every sore has its own unique inventory - we cater to the local community, giving you what you want! The local inventory at our retail stores isn't connected to the inventory on our website - but if you can't find what you want in store, we might have it online! Got questions about availability regarding specific items? You can call each store locally. Now, what are you waiting for? Get thee to a store!

Will YOU see Lion King in 3D?

We'd be lying if we said we weren't huge Lion King fans. Granted, as costume lovers, we're fans of anything and everything Disney, but Lion King ranks pretty high up there on our list of favorites. Which is why we can't wait to see it revitalized in 3D this week. The Disney favorite has been re-envisioned for the big screen and it's going three dimensional -- which means baby Simba will be coming right at you in the theater! Ready to celebrate? We've got a slew of Lion King costumes for you this Halloween season. Our absolute favorite has to be our matching Nala and Simba costumes for toddlers. This outfits are ultra adorable, and more realistic than you'd think you could get in a costume! Plus, they're cuddly and soft, and guaranteed to keep your little ones warm in the chilly October air. But don't think we haven't thought of the adults too! Our Sassy Nala costume is great for teens and women alike, and while you might be a bit cold out trick or treating, it's a wonderful option for Halloween parties. Short, sassy, and a little bit sexy - watch out for this lioness! Guys, meanwhile, can deck themselves out in yellow head to toe and throw on this amazing Simba Headpiece.

Got some other costumes in mind? We've got everything you can imagine.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

We spent this past weekend taking in the sights and sounds of Hogwarts and Hogsmeade at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios. As big Harry Potter fans, to say we were excited for our trip to Hogwarts is an incredible understatement. We've been counting down the days ever since we booked our trip, and we're happy to say that for the most part, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter met all of our expectations! From the snacks to be bought at Honeydukes, to the jokes and toys lining the shelves at Zonkos, we loved our time perusing the shops in Hogsmeade. Plus, the ride inside the Hogwarts castle was incredible - it was like riding a broom! Though we should note, if that's what riding a broom is like, we're going to stick to sports where our feet are planted firmly on the ground, thank you very much. Riding a broom is quite dizzying! It was about 95 degrees outside, so unfortunately, we didn't don our Hogwarts School Robes, nor our Gryfinddor scarf and hat. A group of "students" in the park were wearing full costumes, and man, did we feel bad for them, sweating under the hot sun! Lots of tourists in the park were wearing their Harry Potter glasses, and a few were carrying around wands that they'd purchased from Ollivander's Wand Shop. Want to deck yourself out in Harry Potter gear for your own trip to Hogwarts? Check our all our Harry Potter costumes and props here.

Hairspray is back with Nick Jonas!

A few years ago, Nikki Blonsky and Zac Efron, along with a slew of other Hollywood heavyweights, took to the big screen to bring beloved musical Hairspray to life. The movie was a huge hit, and a revival was struck up on Broadway. Meanwhile, Disney star Nick Jonas was biding his time with boy band the Jonas Brothers, and released a solo album of his own music under the alias of Nick Jonas and The Administration. Last year, Nick did a run on London's West End in Les Miserables, and now,  he's taking to the stage as Link Larkin in Hairspray at the Hollywood Bowl! Nick was absent from last night's Teen Choice Awards, as was former girlfriend Miley Cyrus - because he was busy working it on stage as Link! Check out a video from Nick's performance above, and peep some of our best Hairspray costumes below! Get the look of Link with our Link Larkin costume. Ladies can rock our Motormouth Maybelle wig a la Queen Latifah, or go cutesy with our Penny Pingleton costume. Got a different favorite movie? Check out all of our favorite movie costumes here.

Where was Miley Cyrus at the Teen Choice Awards?

We spent last night snuggled on our couch watching the Teen Choice Awards on Fox. Some of our favorite folks took home surfboards for their skills, including singer Justin Bieber and songstress Taylor Swift, who won the Ultimate Teen Choice award. Swift, who spent the evening situated next to BFF Selena Gomez (girlfriend of Justin Bieber),  happily accepted the award from good friend Emma Stone, and told teens, "When I was a teenager,  I felt like we were always being stereotyped as being very intense and dramatic and passionate and hopelessly romantic and excitable. Now in retrospect, I think I need to let you know that I think all of those things are amazing things. And to all the teens watching, I hope you never lose those things." Swift's speech was met with applause - but she wasn't the only highlight of the night. Teen singer Demi Lovato, who's had quite the rough year, took to the stage to accept an inspirational award for her new song, "Skyscraper."

Conspicuously missing from the show, however, was teen star Miley Cyrus, who, before Bieber and Gomez came on the scene, was the reigning teen queen. Miley came up in the Disney family with her hit show Hannah Montana, which has since ended. Luckily for Miley, kids and teens alike are still obsessed both with the actress herself and her character. Got a kid who loves Hannah? We've got tons of Hannah Montana costumes. We've also got lots of Hannah props and decorations. Top your costume off with the perfect Hannah wig in blonde! Now, who's ready to rock this party?

Have You Seen Cars 2?

We're big fans of Disney Pixar, so it's no surprise that we've already seen Cars 2. Have you seen the movie yet? As the story goes, Lighting McQueen and his friend Mater head overseas to compete in the Grand World Prix race. The road to the championship gets a bit rocky when Mater gets caught up in a crazy adventure of his own - international espionage! Cars 2 might technically be a kid's movie, but there's lots in there for adults to enjoy as well! Haven't seen it yet and got a kid who's dying to show up to the movie theater fully decked out in his Cars gear? We've got plenty of it. Get Ready for Winnie the Pooh: The Movie

We don't know about you, but we're big fans of Pooh. Winnie, that is. One of the most beloved characters from our childhood, Winnie the Pooh and his friends Tigger and Piget won our hearts early on. Cute, cuddly, and always full of great lessons to teach, we had Pooh stuffed animals and Pooh books, movies and more. Hence, you can imagine our excitement when we learned that there was going to be a new Pooh movie released this summer! Watching the preview reminded us of all the great Pooh costumes we have for kids! Our Frilly Winnie the Pooh costume is great for little girls. It's frilly and feminine and oh-so cute, but still very much Pooh-themed, with an orange and red dress with a poofy skirt. Little boys will love our Winnie the Pooh toddler costume, which is a full jumpsuit with a Pooh hood. It'll transform your little one into everyone's favorite lovable bear, red t-shirt and all. Now, where's the honey jar? If you're looking for something more simple, we've got Pooh Ears, Piglet Ears, Tigger Ears and even a set of Ears and Tail for Eeyore. Last but certainly not least, our Tigger Infant costume is quite possibly the cutest thing on the planet, if we do say so ourselves. Bouncy bouncy! Want more great Winnie the Pooh costumes? Breaking Dawn Trailer Revealed!

Okay folks, let's get this out of the way: we're dying to know, are you Team Jacob or Team Edward? We're Team Jacob, all the way. In fact, we'd go as far as to say we wish Bella had ended up with Jacob, not Edward. Jacob could have taken way better care of her, if you ask us. Anywho, the Twilight saga is set to come to a close soon, what with the first part of Breaking Dawn hitting theaters in November. In the meantime, however, Summit Entertainment is keeping fans entertained by releasing teaser trailers. The most recent one, which hit the web a few days ago, shows Bella and Edward at their wedding, including the infamous bedroom scene in which Edward manages to destroy not just their wedding bed, but their wedding home.

Haven't seen the Breaking Dawn Part 1 trailer yet? Check it out below, and get into character with our great vampire costumes.  If you're looking for just a little bit of vampire, you'll want these awesome fangs. They're so close to the real thing that we're often afraid to try them on! If you're not afraid to go all out, you'l love our Twilight Teen costume.  Edward obsessed? You're going to need this wig. And probably some white makeup to make you vampire-esque pale. Maybe costumes aren't your style but themed parties are? We've got you covered! We're obsessed with our Twilight cups and Twilight plates, which feature the beautiful Bella and not so hard on the eyes Edward. Now, go get biting!

The best children's superhero costumes

What every child wants, more than anything else, is to be a superhero. To save lives like their favorite big screen superstar, to fly like Superman and scale buildings like Spiderman. Little girls hope to be Catwoman and little boys hope to grow up to be as cool as the Green Lantern. While you might not be able to turn them into a child with real superpowers, you can make their superhero dreams come true with a great superhero costume this Halloween.

Got a kid who can't get enough of Spiderman? Scrawny Peter Parker has become a well-recognized superhero, thanks to multiple movies and many more comic books, which means that many a little boy wants to string spiderwebs along walls and climb buildings with little to no effort. Our official Marvel Spiderman costume is a great option for kids who can't get enough of Spidey. A red and blue bodysuit that's so close to the movie version you'll swear your child has walked onto a Hollywood set, this costume is sure to please even the most difficult child.

Another fan favorite of little boys is the role of the Dark Knight, played by the late Heath Ledger, in the latest Batman movie. Our Batman Dark Knight child's mask is so spooky you'll swear that the Dark Knight's ghost has come back to haunt you and your home. This vinyl masked is officially licensed, so it's as close to the real thing as you can get. Plus, because it comes ready-made, you'll save hours in the makeup chair. Of course, if the Dark Knight himself isn't your child's style, we've also got great Joker and Batman masks as well.

Last but most certainly not least is a costume that doesn't exactly belong to a superhero - instead, it belongs to a wizard. That's right, we're talking about The Boy Who Lived, the famous Harry Potter. Our Harry Potter costumes seem to fly off the shelves year after year, and for good reason - everyone loves their favorite wizard. Deck yourself out in a Gryffindor robe and get a matching one for your young child and you'll be ready to take on the witches and warlocks of Halloween!

The greatest sexy fairy costumes around

Tinkerbell might be everyone's favorite Disney fairy, but she's not exactly the sexiest girl in the sky. Come Halloween, you're allowed to go all out, so why not make the most of the holiday and use it as an excuse to wear your favorite sexy fairy costume? One part sugar, one part spice, sexy fairy costumes are sure to have heads turning your way. Here are some of our favorites:

The True Blue Fairy is perfect for the blonde-haired, blue-eyed gal who isn't afraid of something short and sweet. Wear this costume and you're sure to stand out from the crowd this Halloween. A brand new light up design ensures that you take center stage wherever you go. Light up costumes operate with Fiber Optic technology, which are tiny threads that contain lights. This costume comes with a tiny battery pack located in an inner pocket at the hip of the costume, so you can switch the lights on and off. A short blue minidress with matching light blue wings, this is a stunner of a costume.

Another favorite is our green colored Meadow Fairy Costume. Like a tiny woodland nymph that lives among the forests, this adorable mini dress features a sculptured strapless bodice and matching light green wings. The shredded skirt boasts layers of colorful green tulle while the bodice demands attention. An eye catching costume that's sure to break some hearts, this colorful outfit is a favorite among women across the country. Slightly Tinkerbell but with a bit more sass, you're sure to love this outfit.

If classic Tinkerbell is what you're after, look no further than our Lil' Green Fairy costume. A colorful series of green tones, this adorable spandex dress hugs your curves in all the right places. With jagged tulle peeking out of the end of the skirt and a set of matching wings, this costume will take you to Neverland and beyond.

We've discussed lots of green and blue costumes, but what we haven't covered is the fairy costume in our favorite color of all - pink! A colorful pastel confection, our Fairy Adult costume is frothy, layered perfection. A pink strapless minidress with a sweetheart neckline, this costume boasts layers of colorful tulle underneath the skirt, as well as a matching wand and matching wings.

For all these costumes and more, check out Halloween Adventure!
