The easiest sugar cookie recipe we've EVER seen!

There's no denying it. People like cookies, especially during holiday season. While America favors chocolate chip as an all seasons choice, Christmas brings with it a very special cookie. This cookie is fit to decorate with all different colors, fit to be cut into different shapes, and makes a great (and delicious) family activity.

That's right, the sugar cookie! Well, guess what? We've found you the SIMPLEST sugar cookie recipe out there. With only a few ingredients to be found in almost any kitchen, you can craft a cookie so delectable Santa himself won't be able to resist.

Over the next few weeks, we'll continue to share holiday recipes with you. You know we love to dress up, but we think all costumes look better over a good meal or in conjunction with a great dessert. That's just how the cookie crumbles.

CHRISTMAS SUGAR COOKIES
1/2 c. butter-flavored Crisco
1 egg
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten egg and milk. Sift flour and baking powder together, adding half of it at a time to the above mixture. Add vanilla. Roll out 1/4 inch thick on a floured board. Cut into Christmas shapes and sprinkle with sugar. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 10 to 12 minutes.
